12 Days of Sophie: Merry Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve! Since my family has dinner and mass on Christmas Eve and I always wear a version of the same look, I thought I would finally share it.

I have worn this navy velvet midi dress for the past few years from Madewell (similar here), and I think it looks super festive but also classy for the holidays. The empire waist is super flattering on my body and the cut feels more unique than trendy, encouraging me to wear it year after year. I matched it with a white sweater I picked up this year - again from Madewell (similar here). I completed the look with a pair of grey tights to break up the black shoes and navy dress and my favorite winter star earrings from Anthropologie (similar here).

I curled my hair and did heavier makeup than usual to dress for the occasion. Loose curls are my favorite and feel pretty timeless in my opinion. I opted for bronze shades with a hint of deep pink for my eyeshadow and wore a darker nude lip to iterate the tone and avoid a classic yet heavy red lip. I also put some pigmented black eyeshadow on an angled brush to create an eyeliner that's a little softer than a liquid liner.

I hope you guys this year have the opportunity to spend time with family and dress up (if you enjoy it as much as I do). Merry Christmas Eve, and I'll see you soon!
